The Interpretation Centre of the Archiepiscopal Torres , located next to the Plaza of Spain , and very close to the Basilica of Santa Maria , shows the audience which was, along with the medieval bridge and the church of Santa María la Maior , one of the most important monuments of the history of Pontevedra, the Archiepiscopal Towers , destroyed in part to tear down the city walls .
