Plaza de la Leña - PONTEVEDRA

This square used to be used for selling wood, hence its name ("leña" is wood in Spanish). It is surrounded by houses that are typical of the old part of the city. A highlight is the location and buildings that comprise the Provincial Archaeological Museum. The outstanding feature of the square is the cross from the 16th century in its centre, which may have originally been located on the Burgo Bridge.
