The building dates from the final third of the 19th century. It is inspired by renaissance style, with touches of Baroque. Separate entrances and exits give a sense of movement to the facade. The central space uses fluted columns with Ionic capitals (on the ground floor) and Doric capitals (on the upper floor) and semicircular arches on the windows and doors.
